2:28 pm - Allright...
Okay, I must fess up now. I have my own blog running somewhere, I am undecided to disclose the URL here and carry on at my undisclosed blog?

I am going to offend everyone if they read my real blog... oh well. My vice is being too frank and blunt.

If you manage to find it, then congrats!

9:45 am - My political philosophy
Take this quiz and see what is your political philosophy.

According to the quiz I am a Libertarian, which is correct. I am neither rightist nor leftist. Just a libertarian.

"Libertarians are self-governors in both personal and economic matters. They believe government's only purpose is to protect people from coercion and violence. They value individual responsibility, and tolerate economic and social diversity."

6:58 am - Sir, there's crap in my BigMac!
I've just completed 2 books, No Logo by Nomai Klein and Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser.

Now I am starting out Porno by Irvine Welsh. It's sequel to his novel, Trainspotting. Looks promising so far...

NoLogo is interesting novel about abusive corporates using sweatshops in third world country. And the power of brands. I recently bought myself a NY Yankees baseball cap in Times Sq. in NYC for $16 (paid half with special deal) and the label said it was manufactured in, wait for it, Bangladesh! Before reading NoLogo, I never thought about its orign of manufacture, Now I am thinking what kind of sweatshop used to make my cap. In short NoLogo just details the idea of brand and abuses of labour force, but she offers no ideas hope to solve the problem. Raging against the machine is not the answer!

Fast Food Nation, is similar vien to NoLogo, it goes into the whole business of fast food chains, chefly MacDonalds. The book begins simple, with history of potato argibusiness, until you hit this section Worst Job in World. From there it goes downhill, my mind reeled. At the end, in constrat to NoLogo, Eric offers us how to confront the fast food chain nasty abuses. Government regulation as told in this book seldom worked as those people in business opposed it in every turn and unleased army of lobbyists. Only market forces will force them to change.

I highly recommend Fast Food Nation. NoLogo is okay if you want to understand about the power of brands and sweatshops.

Fun with IT is there is period of mad rush of work, when it rains, it pours down! And on other hand, a period of quiet, I get bored then do stupid things....

11:36 am - Diary of LJ n00b
Explored around LJ personal settings. Made some user settings to my liking and such.

Trying to change from default style was fun. At first, I recalled a free user can only select 10 styles from a list. Yes, there is a list of 10 in Create Styles section. But LJ keeps bitching back to me that I can't do that unless I paid up. I am a tightfisted git I guess.

Then I did some RTFM'ing in FAQ section, ah. It says to set styles in Modify Journal section. Weee! In this section I can only select Mood style.

Hurrrahph!
